Terms of Service

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Draft. These terms explain how you can use Heycast. By using Heycast you agree to them.

What Heycast is

Heycast is a client for Farcaster, an open social network. It gathers public casts, questions and discussions from Farcaster and arranges them so good conversations are easier to find. Some summaries and rankings are produced with the help of AI and may be incomplete or wrong.

Your account

You sign in with your Farcaster account through Privy. You are responsible for your Farcaster account and the wallet or keys behind it. If you approve Heycast to act for you, it can post casts, replies, likes and follows on your behalf, but only when you ask it to. You can revoke that permission in your Farcaster settings at any time.

Your content

What you post lives on Farcaster, not on Heycast. You own your casts. Because Farcaster is public, anything you post can be seen, copied and shown by other apps, including Heycast. Deleting a cast on Farcaster removes it from Heycast after our copy refreshes.

Acceptable use

Content from others

Casts, links and previews on Heycast come from other people and websites. We don’t check them and we aren’t responsible for them.

No warranties

Heycast is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It may change, break, or go away at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Heycast and the people who build it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, content or funds, arising from your use of Heycast.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If you keep using Heycast after an update, you accept the new terms.

Who we are and governing law

TODO: legal entity name and the law that governs these terms have not been decided yet.
